“Tour of Britain” World class cycle racing returns to the streets of London on 18 September, as the eight-day Tour of Britain finishes in the Capital. The 96-strong peloton will race 10 laps of a 10km circuit around the Royal Docks in Newham, an 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games host borough.

The TfL London Stage, set against the dramatic backdrop of the Canary Wharf skyline, takes riders past the Thames Barrier. This is the seventh time TfL has brought the Tour of Britain, the largest free-to-attend sporting event in the country, to London.

You can get into the spirit of the event by cycling to the race along the Barclays Cycle Superhighway or using one of the Greenways
